Cotton Spandex

I lost weight and really love these pants and now they are about 2-3 sizes too big. Any way to shrink them?
Wash in hot water, put dryer cycle on HIGH, but… if you do this, color will probably fade and hot dryer may reduce the stretch in the spandex.
